The landmark cement silos at Fyansford Hill featuring murals by acclaimed artist Tyrone Wright (Rone) have been showcased in a very special way this week.
During their Victorian visit, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were presented with an image of the silos by the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, and her husband, Anthony Howard QC, on behalf of the people of Victoria. The gift was presented by the Governor of Victoria to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their visit to Government House Victoria.
RPM client ICD Property, in partnership with Supalai and Gersh Investment Partners, the developer of the 1,000 lot Gen Fyansford estate within close proximity to the silos, worked with Adelaide Brighton Cement to commission the painted murals depicting inspiring stories of local residents.
The artist, Rone, now internationally acclaimed having been shown by galleries in London, Berlin, and New York, is a former Curlewis resident. Rone has been quoted as saying he was delighted to paint the large-scale portraits of three local, relatable individuals who each represent different chapters of the broader Geelong story.
The residents of Gen Fyansford get to enjoy this innovative artistic landmark every day. Stage 6 of the estate is on sale now.
